Machine reamer
A reamer intended to be used by machine rather than by hand. A machine reamer has a round shank so that it can be mounted in a chuck or collet. A hand reamer has a square end of the shank so that it can be mounted in a tap wrench or tap handle. There are other small differences between hand and machine reamers. See also reaming
