Grinding machines of transportable type are divided into:
devices of the sharpening type;
disk type tools;
machines with tape abrasive element.
The first type – sharpening and grinding machines, are used for sharpening cutting objects, such as knives, scissors, drills. Also this type of equipment is used for peeling old paint from the surface, cleaning the surface.
As an abrasive element in plate tools a rotating disk is used, in belt types of equipment – an abrasive element (moving belt). There are also machines that have two types of abrasive element – disc and belt.
An electric jigsaw can also be used as a small portable sanding machine. It is enough to paste the saw blade into a wooden bar, on which the abrasive material should be glued beforehand. This device will be able to help in the sanding process, not only in hard-to-reach places, but also where delicate sanding is needed.
